Ingredients
Directions
- Begin by rinsing your strawberries and gently patting them dry to avoid any excess water.
- Remove the leaves and stems before slicing each strawberry in half, lengthwise.
- Place the two halves next to one another to form a heart shape and insert a toothpick to fasten the shape.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, microwave the chocolate in 30 second intervals, stirring each time in between until the chocolate is melted and smooth (time will vary on the power of your microwave).
- Line a sheet pan with wax paper and set aside.
- One at a time, place the strawberry hearts onto a fork and dip into the melted chocolate mixture, until the entire heart is covered with chocolate. Hover over the bowl for a few seconds, allowing the excess chocolate to drip back down into the bowl.
-
Gently place onto the wax paper and repeat for the remaining strawberry hearts.
- Once all have been coated and are on the wax paper, place the pan into the refrigerator to chill until chocolate is dry to the touch.
- After chilled, remove the Chocolate Covered Strawberry Hearts for decoration.
- Use melted white chocolate or festive decorating icing to drizzle on top and add sprinkles if desired. Chill another few minutes to set any decoration.
- Enjoy!
