1. In a large stock pot, brown beef for about 4 minutes.2. Add the chopped onion and finish browning meat.
3. Add garlic salt, chili powder, cumin, Rotel tomatoes, Hatch chiles and tomato sauce. Stir well and bring to a boil.
4. Add the Ranch Style beans, beer, salt and pepper to taste.
5. Reduce heat and simmer on low for 1 hour with the lid on, stirring occasionally.
6. Serve hot. Garnish with green onions and shredded cheddar.
