1. Place potatoes in the bottom of a large pot, cover with water and bring to a boil. Boil until parboiled (about 15 minutes) and drain. Allow to cool for 10-15 minutes.
2. Preheat oven broiler and lightly grease a large baking sheet. Rub both sides of steaks with 2 cloves garlic and set aside.
3. Arrange potatoes and broccoli florets in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Add remaining 3 cloves garlic and olive oil. Toss to evenly coat. Arrange steaks on the baking sheet in a single layer. Season everything with salt, pepper and thyme.
4. Broil for 4-5 minutes. Remove from oven, flip steaks, and return to broil an additional 3-4 minutes for medium-rare doneness. Serve immediately.
